Job Description:

Justeachers are seeking an experienced and compassionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to get involved in a state of the art SEND school in Stretford. The school is a specialist school for children aged 4 to 16 years old with a wide range of SEND needs. This is a temporary short term role.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver 1:1 and small-group pastoral support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional well-being
Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and essential social skills
Assist with de‑escalation and facilitate restorative conversations when required

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles
In-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and commitment to inclusive education
Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour
Two or more recent, education based references within the last 2 years
Have the legal right to work in the UK
