Job Description

Key Stage 1 (KS1) Supply Teacher | Infants Specialist | Local Primary Schools Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only) Salary: £100 - 160 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for the foundational years of primary education? Join our local primary network as a Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher and inspire young learners during their most formative academic transition. The KS1 Specialist: Impact Without the Admin We are seeking energetic KS1 Teachers to provide expert cover across Year 1 and Year 2. This role is ideal for practitioners who love the "magic" of the infant years-watching reading confidence soar and curiosity grow-without the burden of permanent-role marking, data tracking, or staff meetings. Infant Years Focus: Lead classrooms through the critical shift from EYFS into the formal National Curriculum, ensuring learning remains high-energy and accessible. Phonics Experts: Utilize your expertise in Phonics (Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, etc.) to support early reading and prepare Year 1 for their Screening Checks. Work-Life Balance: Reclaim your evenings! Deliver high-impact teaching and leave at the end of the school day with no "take-home" planning or assessments. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £100 - 160 per day , paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as a KS1 Lead As a Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher, you are the catalyst for classroom engagement, helping small children become big learners. Adaptive Lesson Delivery: Facilitate engaging lessons in Literacy, Numeracy, and Science that cater to the shorter attention spans and high energy of 5 to 7-year-olds. Bridge the Gap: Support Year 1 pupils transitioning from play, and guide Year 2 pupils toward the independence required for Key Stage 2. Classroom Management: Quickly build rapport with new classes, using positive reinforcement to maintain a calm, productive, and happy learning environment. Flexible Expertise: Step into different school cultures and immediately implement the day's plan with confidence and professional authority. Essential Requirements We are looking for qualified professionals who are specialists in the KS1 curriculum. You are an ideal fit if you: Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification. Are a KS1 Specialist: You have a deep understanding of the Year 1 and Year 2 National Curriculum and the social-emotional needs of infants. Are Energetic & Proactive: You can lead a carpet session with enthusiasm, manage a busy classroom, and support TAs effectively. Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding. Apply Today Ready to rediscover your love for teaching while enjoying a career that fits your lifestyle? How to Apply: Click "Apply Now" to submit your CV to our dedicated Primary Team.
