Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate, strategic, and tenacious hunter to join Reach Studio as a Key Client Business Manager and give us an unfair advantage in winning content partnership briefs. As a Key Client Business manager in Reach Studio you will be responsible for driving revenue, growing our reputation and raising our profile with our key clients. You will be a passionate and strategic individual who knows the media content and agency world well. You will have a can-do attitude and be tenacious in generating briefs and selling in market-leading work. A strong understanding of our key clients media strategies, KPIs and existing partnerships will be essential and this information will be needed to develop bespoke solutions that meet the needs of your clients. You must be as comfortable pitching to clients directly as you are to media agencies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and implementing a strategy to increase the volume and quality of briefs while boosting pitch conversion rates
  • Managing and growing deep-rooted relationships within key client organizations and WPP Media agencies
  • Identifying proactive opportunities to increase digital revenues and selling in work that elevates our brand reputation
  • Creating and implementing commercial media plans that bring bold, creative ideas to life
  • Supporting all areas of the business to drive profitability and ensuring Reach Studio maintains a high industry profile
  • Upholding Reachs D&I policies, ensuring our commitment to non-discrimination is reflected in everything we publish

Requirements:

  • Experience within a media owner or media agency environment
  • A proven hunger for success and industry leading sales skills
  • You are highly numerate and an excellent commercial thinker, capable of maximizing revenue and reporting performance with precision
  • An existing profile in the media industry with influential relationships across agency planning and content teams (experience with WPP Media is a significant plus)
  • You are a strong communicator and an engaging presenter, comfortable pitching directly to clients or high-level media agencies
  • A deep understanding of the branded content marketplace, including Digital, National, and Regional Press
  • The ability to lead through collaboration, building a strong network of internal stakeholders and personifying the principles of Reach Solutions

  • Collaborate with Regional Partner (RP), Regional Partner Deputy (dRP) and Studio Leads to define and implement strategic goals for the region and studios (in accordance with the Collective Ambition) that foster growth and innovation. Translating objectives into day-to-day action
  • Provide insights and recommendations on the way the region operates to align regional strategies with broader organisational objectives, ensuring the regional business plan is aligned with and supporting the national plan (Collective Ambition). Oversee KPI’s on behalf of the West Region Leadership Team
  • With the RP, dRP and Studio Leads ensure regional studios have a balanced structure comprising technical and administrative staff of appropriate levels of skill and experience required to deliver current and future workload and key support functions are covered
  • Monitor and support performance management of individuals alongside Partners, Associate Partners and Line Managers. Identify, encourage and address learning and career development opportunities within the objectives of the West Region Business Plan
  • Forecast recruitment requirements, ensuring we have the highest caliber of people for each role. Working alongside the RP, dRP and Studio Leads to identify top talent and skills gaps, and where necessary determine requirements for regional structural changes
  • Ensure relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry leaders are maintained
  • Identify regional trends and patterns that require Main Board attention, preparing and presenting through reports and presentations
  • Keep employees engaged, motivated and working effectively and efficiently
  • Encouraging positive initiatives and team building activities
  • Oversee the financial health of all cost centers within the region, providing commentary to RP, dRP and local Leadership Team on change and potential risks to achieving financial targets
