As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining relationships with our most important clients. Your primary goal will be to ensure client satisfaction, drive account growth, and maximize upsell opportunities. You will serve as the main point of contact for designated key accounts, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet those needs while achieving company objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively
Understand clients’ businesses, objectives, and challenges to provide strategic guidance and support
Regularly conduct account reviews to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with client expectations
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate efforts and deliver exceptional service to clients
Monitor account health metrics and proactively address any issues to prevent churn
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within key accounts by understanding their evolving needs and business objectives
Present additional products or services that align with clients’ goals and provide added value
Develop customized proposals and presentations to pitch upsell opportunities effectively
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to maximize revenue while maintaining client satisfaction
Track upsell and cross-sell activities and measure success against predefined KPIs
Collaborate with the sales team to strategize on upselling techniques and leverage existing relationships
Develop and execute strategic account plans for key clients, outlining objectives, tactics, and timelines
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential threats
Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders based on client feedback and market intelligence
Participate in regular strategy meetings to align account management efforts with overall company goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s/ Post Graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Proven experience in key account management or similar role, preferably in a B2B environment
Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
