As a Key Account Manager you are expected to have a positive impact on PPG PMC sales and financial objectives by developing relationships that achieve inclusion of PMC Products in specifications with engineering and specifying owners who are identified as priorities in the designated PMC Market Segments and Key accounts in China. You will also be responsible for chasing the project from the owners and design institute, but not actual sales, as direct sales will fall under the responsibility of the local sales teams. You will reports directly to the AP Segment Manager and work in a hybrid model, based at PPG Petaling Jaya.
Job Responsibility:
Manage/develop relationships and specification positions with current owner and engineering clients with focus in Infrastructure segments
Identify, pursue, negotiate, develop and implement specifications and product recommendations for and with owner and engineering
Develop the new business through visiting the new owner and engineering accounts and propose the suitable coating systems
Liaise with owner accounts, engineering houses, in the course of project coordination
Policy compliance – manage all activities in compliance with PPG Global Code of Ethics, Environmental Health & Safety requirements and Export Compliance guidelines
Requirements:
5 to 10 years of experience in the PMC industry with both technical and commercial experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business degree
Industry business background such as coating, equipment or similar
Expected travel would likely exceed 50%
Nice to have:
Experience in Data Center segment will be the plus
Professional qualification such as NACE, FROSIO or equivalent is better
