We are looking for an experienced and detail orientated Key Account Manager to join our Sales team. The Key Account Manager (KAM) will work from home but with extensive travel required to national key account locations. You will be working in partnership with large telephonic firms within fast-paced environments. Your primary objective is to drive production and market share growth within your Key Account panel who are large protection writing firms, typically streamlined specialists who transact protection business over the telephone. This will be through creating and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of the business, understanding people, processes, products & marketing requirements whilst building & implementing mutually beneficial business plans to drive success.
Job Responsibility:
Achieve your firm level targets across each key account – using available market data sources as a method of determining required market share growth to achieve desired sales production results
Build and maintain relationships with all levels of key account and telephonic organisations, including management team, advisers, and potentially influential stakeholders such as compliance teams
Comprehensive training plans with each of your key accounts ensuring advisers are kept up to date with Guardians proposition and can confidently position Guardian against our competitors
Regular ace-to-face meetings with advisers to gauge sentiment, knowledge levels, and identify any barriers to writing business
Quarterly commercial reviews with firm management teams to interrogate performance and trends at both business and adviser level
Work closely with your National Account Manager to align your approach with business objectives and ongoing initiatives
Work with underwriting, servicing and claims teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience to your key accounts
Represent Guardian at protection seminars/workshops both face to face and virtually
Ensure that all compliance and KPI requirements are met
Be innovative and forward thinking with your panel and Guardian as a wider proposition
Share market insight with the distribution and marketing team
Requirements:
Experience of working within the UK Intermediary market in a telephone or field-based role
Knowledge of individual protection products, propositions, processes & competitors to Guardian
Experience delivering proposition presentations face-to-face and virtually
Developing a panel of accounts and market share growth to increase market share to Guardian
Delivering against sales targets
Proven track record in seeking out, developing, and implementing new business opportunities in the intermediary market
Strong financial services background
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Good knowledge of protection product’s
Ambition and desire to succeed
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Confidence but also with the ability to self-reflect
