The key account manager role focuses on converting clinical demand into operationalized patient starts by enabling treatment readiness across complex healthcare accounts. This role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to optimize the Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) patient journey and ensure timely diagnosis, referral, and treatment initiation.
Job Responsibility:
Build strong relationships with key decision makers, prescribers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
Identify customer needs and translate insights into opportunities to improve patient outcomes and treatment access
Contribute field insights to support brand strategy development and launch readiness planning
Map referral networks and patient pathways across institutions to improve patient flow and reduce delays in diagnosis and treatment
Identify account-specific barriers to access and collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions
Coordinate closely with Marketing, Medical and Market Access teams to execute integrated account strategies
Deliver tailored messaging to key stakeholders across multiple specialties involved in TED management
Integrate omnichannel engagement strategies including face-to-face interactions, virtual engagements, and digital platforms
Utilize CRM systems and market data to monitor account progress and customer engagement
Track key performance indicators including account plan execution, stakeholder engagement, and patient start milestones
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, key account management, or medical engagement roles
Experience in rare diseases, specialty care, ophthalmology, endocrinology, oncology, or complex markets preferred
Strong understanding of hospital environments and multidisciplinary care pathways
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinking and account planning capability
Highly independent, self-motivated, and results-driven
Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with CRM systems and digital engagement tools
