We are seeking a dynamic and driven Key Account Manager for Healthcare & Education to join our Specification team in the North of England, supporting the continued success of Altro's premium flooring and wall cladding solutions. This is a pivotal role where you will develop and manage key customer relationships, influence specifications, and drive growth across major healthcare and education accounts.
Job Responsibility
Building and managing strategic relationships with key healthcare and education customers
Developing and executing Key Account Plans to grow and retain major accounts
Driving product specification by influencing end users and stakeholders
Delivering CPDs and commercial presentations (both in-person and virtual)
Identifying opportunities and building a strong project pipeline with your colleagues
Supporting projects through their lifecycle to maximise conversion
Negotiating agreements and establishing commercial terms where appropriate
Providing expert advice on Altro products, applications, and installations
Organising product trials to demonstrate real-world value
Staying up to date with industry trends, legislation, and competitor activity
Using CRM systems to manage and record customer interactions
Representing Altro at networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums
Encouraging customer engagement with our Voice of the Customer Programme
Requirements
Proven experience in a field sales or key account management role
Confident relationship builder with strong communication and influencing skills
Commercially astute with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
Experienced in delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels
Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven, with strong planning skills
A collaborative team player with enthusiasm, drive, and a customer-focused mindset
Experience within healthcare, education, or construction-related sectors
Knowledge of specification sales or relevant product areas
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of market dynamics
