We’re looking for a self-motivated, purpose-driven sales professional with strong business acumen to help us grow our footprint within India’s public sector healthcare space. This role is primarily focused on driving ResMed’s Defence and Government business for defense landscape as PAN India and Government Landscape as Northern/ Central India in close collaboration with Channel Partners (Distributors). Additionally, there may be opportunities to support business initiatives in neighboring countries on a case-by-case basis. This role requires frequent travel (50% or more) and demands a combination of strategic sales thinking, operational excellence, and deep understanding of the Indian Government and Defense ecosystem.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and grow the Defense and Government sector business in assigned regions (defense PAN India and Government Landscape as Northern/ Central India)
Develop strong working relationships with Channel Partners and Government authorities
Lead tender business operations: including evaluating tender documents, preparing technical and financial responses, participating in demos, and representing ResMed in key discussions with authorities
Monitor and respond to opportunities on platforms like GeM, state procurement portals, and direct government notifications
Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Marketing, and Clinical to align strategies and ensure successful execution
Explore and experiment with innovative and sustainable ideas that can improve access and impact in the public healthcare space
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related fields
5–10 years of experience in Government/Defence Sales within the medical devices or healthcare sector
Solid understanding of tender management processes, government procurement policies, and stakeholder engagement
Strong network across government institutions, defence establishments, and public sector hospitals
Familiarity with tools like GeM and other e-procurement platforms
Fluency in English, Hindi or more local regional languages
Willingness to travel extensively (>50%) across assigned territories and occasionally to neighboring countries, if required
Proven track record of achieving targets, managing complex sales cycles, and delivering value through strategic partnerships
