Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a commercially driven Key Account Executive to join our team, managing and growing a portfolio of Discount & Retail customers within our Sales & Distribution division.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of up to 8 Discount/Retail accounts, delivering sales and margin targets
  • Building strong relationships with Buying, Commercial and Supply Chain contacts
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for operational and commercial queries
  • Supporting delivery of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and promotional activity
  • Building and maintaining accurate forecasts for volume and value performance
  • Analysing sales data, EPOS and customer trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Tracking promotional performance and influencing future activity
  • Supporting pricing, promotional planning and new product launches
  • Processing and reconciling invoices, rebates and promotional investments
  • Identifying distribution gaps and new product opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, pricing files and promotional calendars
  • Preparing reports, presentations and customer insights
  • Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service teams

Requirements

  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in forecasting, sales planning and data analysis
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Power BI advantageous)
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-focused, self-motivated individual who is adaptable to change
  • Experience within FMCG, wholesale, discount or retail environments preferred
  • Previous experience in account management, sales support or commercial roles (e.g. Key Account Executive, Commercial Assistant, Sales Executive)
