Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Kerbside Driver with a Class 2 (Category C) licence to join our waste and recycling team in Newtownabbey. You'll be responsible for the collection of recyclable materials from residential areas, working as part of a dedicated crew.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive a Class 2 vehicle along designated kerbside collection routes
  • Assist with loading recyclable materials into the vehicle
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues
  • Ensure all collections are completed safely and on schedule
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism
  • Follow all health & safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
  • Physically fit
  • Previous experience in waste collection is however we are accepting new passes as well
  • Team player with a strong work ethic

  • Working on a two-week round rotation, ensuring all kerbside collections are made in line with the companies contractual requirement
  • Use the in-cab round monitoring software unit (Bartec)
  • To assist loaders in the removal of waste or recyclate, where and when appropriate
