Job Description:

Team Lead role guiding the CloudKDB team in supporting cross-asset eTrading. Initially focusing on supporting and optimizing existing system, then driving development of new functionalities to enhance long-term stability and reliability. Responsible for guiding and mentoring team members in a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development of the Kdb+ target state architecture
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies
Document business requirements and propose innovative solutions
Conduct thorough testing
Manage project timelines and track progress
Foster collaborative team environment
Facilitate effective communication between team and stakeholders
Continually improve software development lifecycle
Provide support to users in accessing and querying data

Requirements:

Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers
Strong understanding of computing fundamentals: concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks
Strong interest in technology and passion for learning about distributed systems and databases
Extensive experience working with KDB+ at an enterprise level
Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC
Strong skills in Q/KDB+, Java and Python/PyKX
Good understanding of Linux/UNIX, OS tuning
Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast and exchange specific protocols (FIX, OUCH, ITCH)
Proven track record in profiling and optimizing for latency
Strong debugging and trouble shooting skills
Experienced in working within an agile framework
