Job Description:

Are you looking for a leadership role that offers a challenge and provides key outcomes for the community? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Unpaid Work Team Leader to join a Justice Social Work team. You will be responsible for the management of a team containing qualified Social Work staff and paraprofessionals. This contract is for a minimum of 3 months and offers a competitive Grade 3 Level 8 rate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and support to qualified Social Workers and para-professionals
  • Ensuring the appropriate allocation of work and maintaining effective caseload management
  • Chairing reviews of Community Payback Orders imposed by the Courts
  • Co-ordinating and managing team leader meetings, including child protection or adult support and protection
  • Monitoring and promoting standards of practice through regular structured supervision
  • Managing specifically identified budgets

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Social Work or equivalent
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a statutory setting
  • Trained and experienced in the use of risk assessment tools (LSCMI, ROSH, SA07, etc.)
  • Willingness to be vetted for the Home Office ViSOR system
  • Ability to practice in a trauma-informed, non-judgemental, and compassionate manner
