Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker with a passion for criminal justice and domestic abuse prevention? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our innovative Domestic Abuse Service in Edinburgh. As a Social Worker within our Domestic Abuse Service, you will play a crucial role in the assessment and support of men who have perpetrated domestic abuse. Your primary responsibility will be to undertake comprehensive Caledonian Assessments, a specialized risk and needs assessment for men referred through the criminal justice system.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct in-depth Caledonian Assessments with men convicted of domestic abuse offenses, adhering to the core principles and standards of the Caledonian System
Analyze complex information to identify risk, need, and protective factors related to the perpetration of domestic abuse
Formulate clear and concise assessment reports, providing recommendations for intervention and risk management
Liaise and collaborate with a wide range of professionals, including probation officers, police, and other agencies
Participate in multi-agency risk assessment conferences (MARACs) and other forums to ensure a coordinated response to domestic abuse
Maintain accurate and detailed case records in accordance with service policies and procedures
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our domestic abuse services
Requirements:
A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
