Job Description

Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a flexible locum opportunity? Are you looking to make a difference within Justice Services? As well as working with a top local authority in the area, we are able to offer an attractive hourly rate.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting assessments to identify the individual needs and challenges of inmates
  • Developing and implementing personalised treatment plans to address those needs, which may include mental health support, substance abuse counselling, vocational training, and re-entry planning
  • Providing individual and group counselling to inmates, offering emotional support and guidance
  • Collaborating with prison staff, parole officers, and community organisations to coordinate services and support for inmates both during and after incarceration
  • Advocating for the rights and dignity of incarcerated individuals, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and opportunities for rehabilitation
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and progress

Requirements

  • Experienced in Social Work
  • LSCMI trained
  • Registered with SSSC in Social Work part of the register
  • Car driver
