We are looking for a dedicated individual with a legal background to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, this role requires expertise in Kentucky laws and statutes to create compelling legal content for various platforms. This position offers a flexible schedule, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis to support content creation
  • Develop high-quality legal blogs and articles based on assigned topics
  • Collaborate with the social media manager to craft engaging and legally accurate content for social platforms
  • Assist in updating and enhancing the firm's website with relevant legal information
  • Maintain consistent communication with the business manager to ensure workflow and deadlines are met
  • Create and manage a detailed work log to track weekly progress and deliverables
  • Provide thoughtful input for the firm's ongoing website relaunch and content strategy
  • Ensure all written materials align with Kentucky laws and statutes

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent legal education, with strong knowledge of Kentucky law
  • Proven experience in legal writing, copywriting, or similar roles
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to create clear and engaging content
  • Familiarity with website content development and social media communication
