Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Juniper Routing and Switching Engineer to manage and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Juniper networking technologies and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and maintain Juniper routing and switching infrastructure
  • Configure and troubleshoot Juniper routers and switches (MX, EX, QFX series)
  • Manage network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, and MPLS
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
  • Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and outages
  • Implement network security and best practices
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams for network improvements
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and topology

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper routing and switching technologies
  • Expertise in Juniper JunOS operating system
  • Knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs)
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization
  • Understanding of network security principles

Nice to have

  • Juniper certification (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP)
  • Experience working in large enterprise or service provider networks
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • To hold network information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs
  • To understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in supporting a network that is available and sustainable
  • To produce a written summary report on the status of design projects, equipment, and network problems regularly to the customer
  • To hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates
  • To train the customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the HPE Juniper Networks products
  • To assist the customer in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
  • To assess the health of a network based on HPE Juniper products
  • Development and maintenance of fault diagnosis procedures to support effective fault resolution
