Job Description

The Junior Transaction Manager assists Senior Transaction Managers (STMs) and the Head of Transactions with the end to end management of selected IBV project sales transactions (Solar PV, BESS, Wind), including large scale transactions.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist Senior Transaction Managers (STMs) and the Head of Transactions with the end to end management of selected IBV project sales transactions (Solar PV, BESS, Wind), including large scale transactions
  • Assist a number of international equity transactions in parallel, managed either internally, or with the support of an advisor, under supervision of the Head of Transactions or STM
  • Liaise with colleagues and/or external financial advisor throughout preparation phase, to produce high quality transaction materials (IM, Model, etc.)
  • Contribute to the creation and or review of relevant transaction documentation from a commercial perspective and liaise with internal and external counsel on legal matters
  • Support negotiations with investors, working with JV partners, commercial colleagues and Head of Transactions where appropriate
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure transactions are executed on time, including alignment with internal legal, tax and technical teams
  • In coordination with STM, assist with the selection of financial and legal advisors, prepare/obtain transaction approval, assess commercial merits and risks of proposed transactions, provide updates where required
  • Assist with developing and maintaining key investor relationships, and identifying key target investors in relevant markets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, MBA or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience in Renewable Energy M&A or another relevant field with a solid understanding of the Renewable Energy Industry and M&A sales processes
  • Solid understanding of M&A sales processes, legal documents and wording
  • Understanding of RES planning, design, engineering, and construction processes
  • Ability to read and understand financial models and an understanding of the relevant value drivers for renewable energy projects
  • Understanding of current key market trends
  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal

Nice to have

Further language skills (particularly European languages) are a plus
