The Junior Testing Engineer at NTT DATA will perform manual functional testing and design test cases for healthcare applications. The role requires 1-2 years of experience in QA/Testing, strong understanding of healthcare workflows, and proficiency in Azure DevOps. Candidates should have advanced English skills and be able to collaborate effectively in Agile environments.
Job Responsibility:
Review healthcare requirements and user stories to understand functional and domain needs
Design and document manual test cases using Azure DevOps
Execute functional, integration, and regression test cycles
Validate healthcare workflows such as claims, eligibility, authorizations, and provider/member modules
Perform backend data validation using basic SQL queries
Log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps Boards
Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners during triage and sprint ceremonies
Provide daily test status and highlight risks or blockers
Support UAT activities and ensure release readiness
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and secure handling of PHI/PII
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in QA/Testing
Advanced English
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows (claims, eligibility, authorizations)
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
Solid functional testing skills with ability to design and execute test cases
Basic SQL skills for backend data validation
Experience in test case analysis, test planning, and test execution
Ability to document, track, and manage defects efficiently
Good communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments
Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI/PII handling best practices
Nice to have:
Familiarity with EMR/EHR applications (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
Exposure to EDI tools (Edifecs, BizTalk, etc.)
Basic understanding of automation concepts (not required)
