Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Tester with 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack applications hosted on AWS. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality web applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for MERN stack applications
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js, Express.js) components
  • Validate data integrity and performance of MongoDB databases, including queries and indexing
  • Test RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end services
  • Conduct automated and manual testing to identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with DevOps to test and validate application deployments on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway)
  • Monitor and test application performance, scalability, and reliability in AWS environments
  • Document test results, defects, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure quality at every stage of development
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and AWS services to improve testing efficiency

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in software testing
  • At least 1 year working on MERN stack applications
  • Proficiency in testing front-end applications built with React (e.g., component testing, UI/UX validation)
  • Experience testing back-end services built with Node.js and Express.js (e.g., API testing using tools like Postman or Jest)
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, including testing database queries, schemas, and performance
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
  • Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch) and testing cloud-hosted applications
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks and scripting (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for testing microservices
  • Exposure to Microsoft GraphQL testing
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or similar testing certifications (preferred but not mandatory)
