Job Description:

As a Junior Test Analyst you will support the delivery of high-quality software solutions, working under the guidance of experienced test professionals. The role involves designing and executing manual test cases, contributing to the development of automated test suites, and ensuring that software meets defined requirements and quality standards. The Junior Test Analyst is expected to actively engage in structured training and development activities to acquire the necessary skills and competencies for progression within the software testing discipline.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, execute, and document tests: Create and run manual test cases, report defects accurately, and maintain comprehensive test documentation including plans, cases, and bug reports
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure successful project delivery
  • Participate in agile processes: Take an active role in agile ceremonies and internal or customer-facing meetings to support project progress
  • Support automation initiatives: Learn and contribute to automation frameworks and scripting to enhance testing efficiency
  • Perform comprehensive testing: Conduct regression, integration, and system testing across web and backend platforms
  • Drive continuous improvement: Share ideas and insights to improve team capability and testing practices
  • Focus on personal development: Develop and maintain a Personal Development Plan aligned with digital capability goals
  • Adapt as needed: Undertake additional duties as required to support the role’s purpose

Requirements:

  • Be a UK-born sole national
  • Have held no other nationality at any time
  • Have continuously resided in the United Kingdom for the past five years
  • Be able to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance in accordance with government vetting standards
  • Provide satisfactory evidence of identity, nationality, and residency as part of the clearance process
  • Foundational experience in manual testing
  • At least a years’ experience in a testing role

Nice to have:

  • Experience using bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
