Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Systems Security Administrator to join our team in Houston Texas. This role focuses on managing and enhancing Windows-based IT environments while supporting security operations to ensure the integrity and protection of organizational systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining system reliability and implementing security measures that align with best practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and file services, to ensure optimal performance
  • Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce system settings and user access policies
  • Conduct regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to maintain service availability
  • Perform patch management and updates across servers and endpoints to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes
  • Support the deployment and enforcement of security controls across IT infrastructure
  • Assist in managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and policies to safeguard sensitive information

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration within Windows-based environments
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory management and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Proficiency in patch management tools and processes for servers and endpoints
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and controls, including data protection measures
  • Exposure to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies and endpoint protection tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to create thorough documentation
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or equivalent
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell is highly desirable
