Right now, we’re looking for a Junior Startup Program Manager to join our team who shares our passion for forward-thinking and innovative approaches. About this team You’ll join a customer-obsessed, fast-moving, and high-performing team of 3 people. Aiven for Startups team is part of the CEO Office and reports directly to a member of the executive team. This is a highly visible role internally. The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic person, passionate about the startup ecosystem, ready to join our team at Aiven for Startups. As part of the Program Management team, you'll play a key role in interacting with the founders and CxOs helping them build the “next big thing” using AI and cloud infrastructure. Aiven for Startup provides up to USD 100,000 in credits for startups to build their digital and software products using the open-source technologies we provide (databases, data streaming). You’ll be the go-to person for initial conversations, operational follow-up, onboarding coordination, and progress tracking.This role is central to Aiven's growth, as you'll be enabling the next wave of innovation built on our trusted open-source platform. You are comfortable interacting with founders, are a good listener and a good communicator, but also take pride in things well done, requiring from you attention to detail and ability to handle multiple operational tasks in parallel. To be successful in this role, you need to be a strong team player as you will be working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, solution architects and product leaders at Aiven.

Job Responsibility:

  • Integral member of the Aiven for Startups team: You will help grow the program and help it run smoothly — involved in day-to-day operations you will also represent the Program at industry leading events, conferences and help stage regular webinars to raise the visibility of Aiven among the startup community
  • Guide startups through their program journey: You'll manage key steps from application to onboarding, adoption, and graduation — reviewing applications, coordinating kickoffs, following up on progress
  • Ensure internal coordination: You'll help internal teams aligned on the Program needs by maintaining structured workflows, clear documentation, and regular reporting across the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Foundational experience in a role where you demonstrated success in project management and reaching defined outcomes
  • A passion for startups and technology
  • Strong operational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
