Job Responsibility:
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
Supporting the supervision and development of Demi Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs
Guiding the team during service, ensuring standards, pace and quality are maintained
Contributing to menu development
Supporting portion and waste control
Helping balance creativity with cost awareness to protect profit margins
Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and organisation
Leading by example in health and safety compliance and best practice
Requirements:
Strong technical cooking skills
Solid understanding of ingredients, flavours and kitchen techniques
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Confident in directing others during busy service periods
Organised
Able to delegate effectively
Committed to maintaining a clean, safe and well-structured kitchen environment
A working understanding of food cost control and profit margins
