Job Responsibility

  • Assist senior engineers with architecture diagrams and documentation under supervision
  • Learn security design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Support creation of network diagrams, data flow diagrams, and security zone models
  • Contribute to documenting design decisions and observe architecture reviews
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and diagrams using Visio/Lucidchart
  • Document security configuration requirements and implementation procedures
  • Maintain design repositories, version control, and quality-check deliverables
  • Research security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection) and vendor products
  • Assist with technology evaluations, comparison matrices, and proof-of-concept planning
  • Maintain knowledge base of security tools and deployment architectures
  • Learn concepts like firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, DMZ, and TCP/IP networking
  • Assist with basic network security documentation and diagrams
  • Document baseline configurations for servers, workstations, and network devices
  • Learn CIS Benchmarks, hardening standards, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain configuration guides, SOPs, and secure build documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching fundamentals
  • Basic Windows and Linux administration and command line
  • Ability to learn and use Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, or similar
  • Experience in documenting security diagrams or security processes
  • Basic VM creation and configuration skills
  • Ability to learn complex technical concepts through study and practice
  • Self-motivated with curiosity about security technologies and design
  • Team collaboration and professional conduct
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English

  • Networking certifications such as Network+ or CCNA - Preferred
  • Security+ or working toward within 12 months - Preferred
