Job Description:

A prestigious UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its growing Risk & Compliance team, based in the heart of Manchester. This role focuses on procedural file reviews, managing regulatory records, legal onboarding, monitoring compliance alerts, and supporting key accreditations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conducting procedural file reviews across all departments
  • Monitoring SmartSearch alerts and liaising with fee earners
  • Responding to internal risk and compliance queries
  • Managing regulatory records via mySRA and overseeing practising certificate renewals
  • Onboarding new legal professionals, including compliance checks and regulatory updates
  • Supporting internal and external training on compliance matters
  • Maintaining internal registers and assisting with data breach responses
  • Preparing for key accreditations (e.g., Lexcel, CQS) and staying ahead of regulatory developments
  • Working closely with client services and reviewing referral agreements.

Requirements:

  • A law degree or equivalent legal training
  • A meticulous eye for detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confidence to work independently and handle a varied workload
  • Previous compliance or legal experience is a bonus, but not essential.
