Job Description:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Junior Revenue Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards, supporting month-end close, and partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze and report revenue activity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and record revenue journal entries
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process
  • Review contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment
  • Reconcile revenue-related accounts (deferred revenue, unbilled AR, etc.)
  • Analyze revenue fluctuations and provide variance explanations
  • Support billing operations and collaborate with AR teams
  • Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain and improve revenue accounting processes and internal controls
  • Partner with Sales, FP&A, and Operations on revenue-related matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5+ years of accounting experience (revenue, GL, or public accounting preferred)
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
