Job Description

An innovative start up are currently seeking a Junior Geochemist to join the team, on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. You will be working alongside an existing Geochemist, and be responsible for running a variety of experiments related to geochemistry and sustainable mining.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently utilise a variety of analytical techniques and instruments to conduct experiments centred around leaching and metal recovery in sustainable mining
  • Utilise Wet Chemistry Techniques and a variety of lab bench equipment (pH Meters, Ovens, Pressure Vessels, balances, hot plates etc)
  • Maintain and manage the lab to a high standard

Requirements

  • PhD or MRes in Geochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a similar , closely related field
  • Experience working with high pressure, high temperature Hydrothermal and Wet Chemistry Experiments
  • Strong practical lab skills (wet chemistry, utilisation of standard bench equipment)
  • Autonomy – Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently are essential
  • Must be available to begin April 2026
