An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research and Innovation Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Junior Research Nurse or Officer. The post holder will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. The post holder will be a key member of the CRF Team who support for the delivery of a wide range of research studies undertaken at Sheffield Children's. The CRF Team is a dynamic team delivering an increasingly complex and expanding portfolio of studies to offer our patients and those further afield exciting and potentially life changing treatments. This is an onsite role. Normal working hours for the department are 8-5 with a need to work evenings, weekends and nights where required to support the delivery of trial visits.
Job Responsibility
Assessing and managing care pathways for patients and their families participating in clinical trials
Recruitment, education and ongoing monitoring of research participants
Accurate collection and documentation of study data in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements
Degree or Diploma Level Education as Registered Nurse (ideally RN Child or RSCN), Midwife or Allied Health Professional or Graduate with a degree relevant to clinical research
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to professional development
Minimum of 1 years post qualification/relevant work experience
Aware of accountability and own limitations
Ability to work within a team
