Boutique transactional real estate law firm representing major law firms that retain them to draft opinion letters for real estate financing transactions. Firm operates 100% remote in California, with occasional in-person gatherings 1-2x per year. NO BILLABLES; work life balance position. Sophisticated, specialized work in real estate finance. No billable hour requirements; work is structured around fixed fees.

Job Responsibility

  • Exclusively review mortgage, loan, and financing documentation
  • Draft opinion letters certifying enforceability of loan documents, bankruptcy structures, and borrower authorizations
  • Handle 20 active deals at a time within a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain organization and timely communication with law firm clients
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in ANY state
  • 2–6 years of real estate law experience
  • Reside in California
  • Comfortable working exclusively on drafting opinion letters
