Job Description

Partners with R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain groups to successfully introduce new products into world-wide production. Product Engineers interface with R&D, factory Process Engineering, Test Engineering and reliability engineering to solve product quality or yield problems. Responsible to sustain products through cost reductions seeking yield improvements.

Job Responsibility

  • Partners with R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain groups to successfully introduce new products into world-wide production
  • Interface with R&D, factory Process Engineering, Test Engineering and reliability engineering to solve product quality or yield problems
  • Responsible to sustain products through cost reductions seeking yield improvements
  • Analyze samples of defective units/sub-assemblies
  • Report results to appropriate engineering teams
  • Recommend or implement changes to the product or process
  • Participate as a member of project team to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions
  • Help technicians troubleshoot, and debug defective product units, sub-assemblies, and process steps
  • Validate and summarize test results
  • Implement specified changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs
  • Develop understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced partners for product development and manufacturing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Typically 0-2 years experience
  • Experience or understanding of engineering tools and software packages
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of hardware and electrical component functionality
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • mastery in English and local language
  • Basic knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Knowledge and experience with PCA troubleshooting is a plus
  • Knowledge in Macros and Scripting is a plus
