Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Designer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Junior Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in creating engaging and effective digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You’ll understand the importance of creating designs that are user-friendly and work closely with developers, product owners, and senior designers to innovate and deliver intuitive, visually appealing solutions that meet both user and business needs. The ideal candidate will be confident in exploring design ideas through sketching, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes, with strong proficiency in Figma essential. This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in our Bradley Stoke (Bristol) offices, and three days at home.

Job Responsibility:

Design digital solutions that deliver best-in-class user experiences and support positive business outcomes
Collaborate with developers, product managers, senior designers, engineers, and business teams to create intuitive, visually engaging solutions
Ensure designs are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the overall product vision and goals
Apply a user-centred design approach by leveraging real customer insights and validating your work through user feedback
Work within a broader team to support the delivery of agreed digital KPIs and customer outcomes
Communicate design ideas effectively, both visually and verbally
Present concepts and rationale clearly to team members and stakeholders

Requirements:

A track record of delivering high-quality design work that drives positive results
Good knowledge of UX and UI design, with some understanding of best practices for mobile application design
A problem-solving mindset
Proficiency in Figma
Confident in presenting design work at various stages
A proactive approach to staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and evolving design best practices
Experience working in lean, agile environments as part of cross-functional teams, with familiarity in Scrum methodology is beneficial
Previous experience in financial services is desirable
Proficiency in design and collaboration tools including Miro, Confluence, and Jira is beneficial
