As a member of the Portfolio Management team, you will assist with the assessment of new investment opportunities and monitoring of existing portfolio assets. The role will also require the coordination and supervision of delegated asset managers and investment advisors.
Job Responsibility:
Review Investment Recommendations and ancillary due diligence materials prepared by investment advisors
Prepare Due Diligence reports on delegated portfolio managers and investment advisors
Perform AML/KYI tasks on investments
Coordinate and supervise the investment process with investment advisors
Prepare investment portfolio performance review as part of ongoing portfolio monitoring
Review and assist in the implementation of valuation models used for the valuation of underlying assets
review and run sensitivities on financial models
Assist in reporting duties to senior management, auditors, compliance, and others
Take ownership of the steps required for investment execution
Oversee Portfolio Management delegates, through the review of investor reports and review of KPIs
Requirements:
Strong academic background - ideally MSc/CFA/CAIA
At least 2-5 years of experience in Project, Corporate or Structured Finance, M&A Advisory or Portfolio Management - Private Equity, Real Estate and/or Infrastructure sector experience desired
Solid financial modelling and technical skills - DCF, IRR, MPV, ratio analysis
Thorough understanding of financial accounting, corporate finance and business reporting
Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
Able to ask probing questions to asset managers and advisors and keep fully up to date with sector trends to assess the impact on particular transactions
Familiar with specialist due diligence materials and reports
Highly proactive and able to execute critical work streams with limited supervision and direction
Demonstrate sound business judgment and an analytical, pragmatic approach to problem solving
Fluent in English, and ideally also in French
