Job Description:

Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer. Airbus Defence and Space is one of the three Divisions of the Airbus Group and Europe’s Number 1 defence and space company. We are looking for Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in installing, configuring, integrating and troubleshooting of network hardware and software according to company requirements
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and security
  • Work closely with senior engineers and collaborate with various teams to understand integration requirements, develop solutions and improve systems reliability
  • Integrates networking components elements to meet low level architecture
  • Verifies Network components elements and prepares these for upper-level integration
  • Based on business needs, travel within and outside the country may be required
  • Provide technical support and assist with documentation

Requirements:

  • Analytical, operative, and problem-solver who wants to learn and develop networking design, configuration and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge in installing, configuring and troubleshoot networking products (e.g any of Cisco, Fortinet Juniper, PaloAlto, Mikrotik)
  • Basic knowledge of Network/Communication Hardware Infrastructure (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, wireless products)
  • Good Understanding of network related protocols or technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Routing , Switching) and products (e.g any of Cisco, Fortinet Juniper, PaloAlto, Mikrotik)
  • Basic knowledge on Network Automation Technologies/tools (e.g Python or Ansible) is a plus
  • Nice to have entry level Network Engineer Certification ( e.g CCNA or equivalent)
  • Eagerness to learn, explore and grow in the Network Engineering field
