Job Description

A confidential technology and infrastructure leader is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support mission-critical network and security operations. This is a high-visibility position within a secure data environment, providing hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and SCADA Telemetry systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide daily operational support of enterprise firewalls, including configuration, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring
  • Manage firewall rules, access policies, and security protocols to maintain network compliance and DataClear standards
  • Assist senior engineers with firewall changes and upgrades in a 24/7 mission-critical environment
  • Collaborate with network and systems engineers on the maintenance of switches, routers, and critical network components
  • Support SCADA Telemetry systems to ensure high availability and secure communications
  • Respond to and resolve incident management tasks quickly and accurately, using tools such as ServiceNow
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, rule changes, and incident resolutions
  • Participate in team reviews and contribute to network security process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • or equivalent work experience
  • Background in network engineering or systems engineering, with exposure to enterprise switches and routers
  • DataClear Certification (or equivalent security/compliance credential) required
  • Familiarity with firewall management, network security best practices, and incident response protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills
