We are looking for a Junior Natural Language Processing (NLP) Researcher to join our Natural Language Processing team at Neurotechnology. Our NLP research team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of natural language understanding and generation. We work on diverse topics such as developing advanced language models, text summarization, knowledge representation, and multilingual NLP. Our team has contributed to significant achievements, such as developing the first Large Language Model (LLM) for the Lithuanian language. As a Junior NLP Researcher at Neurotechnology, you will focus on theoretical and experimental aspects of NLP, conducting research to develop new methodologies and improve existing models. You will work alongside experienced researchers and engineers to create innovative solutions in the field of NLP.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct research in NLP, including language modeling, text classification, named entity recognition, and machine translation
Develop, test, and improve novel NLP algorithms and deep learning architectures
Read and analyze recent research papers, applying new findings to internal research projects
Work with large-scale datasets to explore data-driven approaches in NLP
Train and fine-tune deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Collaborate with engineers and domain experts to integrate research findings into real-world applications
Contribute to internal reports, research publications, and technical documentation
Requirements:
Strong Python knowledge, particularly in working with text and natural language data
Solid understanding of Natural Language Processing concepts (e.g. tokenization, embeddings, transformers, attention mechanisms)
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Basic knowledge of statistical methods, probability, and linear algebra
Experience in reading and analyzing NLP-related research papers
Familiarity with NLP datasets and benchmarks (e.g., GLUE, CoNLL, SQuAD)
Ability to run experiments, analyze results, and iterate on findings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to have:
Experience with unsupervised or semi-supervised learning in NLP
Knowledge of reinforcement learning or self-supervised learning techniques
Experience working with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of multilingual NLP challenges and solutions
Interest in publishing research papers or contributing to open-source projects
