About the Role We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join the merchandising and planning team, supporting a key product category. Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, you will play a key role in trading performance, forecasting and range optimisation, helping to drive profitability and reduce risk across the department. Job Responsibility:

  • Weekly trade analysis of sales, stock and margin performance
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and recommending trading actions
  • Supporting markdown and promotional strategies to maximise profit
  • Working with buying and design teams to build commercial ranges
  • Managing and reviewing department line cards to maintain availability
  • Planning and reforecasting WSSI to ensure accuracy and performance alignment
  • Analysing historical data and trends to inform trading decisions
  • Supporting seasonal range and buy sign-off preparation
  • Working closely with ecommerce and marketing teams to optimise product performance
  • Managing critical path with buying teams and liaising with suppliers
  • Supporting and developing a Merchandising Admin Assistant

Requirements:

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with merchandising experience
  • Understanding of retail trading, product and commercial performance
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment
