Our global Privacy and Legal Compliance team is evolving. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior/Medior Business Unit Privacy Business Partner (BU PBP) to join us and help shape the future of privacy at CGI. Data is at the heart of everything we do. As BU Privacy Business Partner, you’ll be the trusted advisor to assigned Business Units, helping our leaders and CGI Partners turn privacy into a real business enabler, not just a compliance checkbox.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain strong relationship with the relevant BU Leader(s), their team members and other Corporate Services Business Partners to make Data Privacy concepts understood and adopted as an everyday priority
Support bids, client engagements and third-party relationships with practical, risk-based privacy advice (incl. Data Privacy Risk Assessment, recording of data processing activities, Data Processing Agreement)
Propose solutions to help the assigned BUs meet their business objectives and be compliant with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, CGI’s Data Privacy Policy and our Binding Corporate Rules
Contribute to security incident management and support responses to data breaches and Data Subject Requests
Support and promote Privacy by Design, data retention practices and privacy awareness across the BU
Report on identified risks and non-compliance of the assigned BUs and propose relevant mitigation actions
Contribute to internal and external audits on data privacy related matters
Collaborate with other PBPs and Centers of Expertise to share best practices and build a strong, global privacy and legal compliance community
Depending on the country, you may also act as, or work closely with, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to support regulatory notifications and interactions with Data Protection Authorities
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree with legal and technical expertise in Data Privacy related matters
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in privacy, data protection, risk management, and/or compliance disciplines
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Holds any Professional Privacy certification (e.g., GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent)
Communicates complex topics in clear, simple language for different audiences
Can build strong relationships, even in a geographically dispersed environment
Is structured, solution-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
