Job Description:

As a Junior HVAC Engineer, you will support the delivery of HVAC systems across a major nuclear construction programme, gaining hands-on experience in a complex, highly regulated environment. You will play a key role in resolving on-site technical challenges and ensuring installation activities progress safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support HVAC installation works in line with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Assist in responding to technical queries raised by construction teams
  • Review field change requests and non-conformance reports for clarity and accuracy
  • Liaise with design and engineering teams to resolve site issues
  • Help track engineering issues and contribute to performance reporting
  • Identify and escalate installation or documentation non-conformances
  • Maintain clear communication between site teams and engineering stakeholders
  • Support consistent application of approved engineering solutions on site

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Some experience within construction, engineering, or industrial environments
  • Understanding of HVAC systems or building services fundamentals
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail when reviewing technical documentation
  • Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn from experienced engineers
  • Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced site environment
