Looking to strengthen your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take the next step in your engineering career? An established food manufacturer is looking for an Trainee/junior Maintenance Engineer to join their site growing team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, gain exposure to high-speed automated machinery, and broaden your electrical and mechanical capability in a supportive team. You'll gain hands-on experience across a busy, automated production environment where no two days are the same.

Job Responsibility

  • Support breakdown response across production machinery
  • Assist with electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Help deliver reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Repair and test plant equipment
  • Contribute to improving reliability and performance on site

Requirements

  • Have an understanding of both Mechanical & Electrical maintenance within the food industry
  • Electrical qualification (HNC/HND/City & Guilds) or strong practical experience
  • Experience with automated or conveyor-based machinery (Preferred)
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
