As part of Hunkemöller’s continued digital transformation, we are expanding our in-house Legal team with a Junior Commercial & Corporate Legal Counsel. This role is suited for a lawyer with 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in an in-house or commercially focused environment, who wants to develop in a broad commercial and corporate role and enjoys working at the intersection of law, business and digitalisation. You will work closely with the General Counsel and support the business on a wide range of commercial, corporate and technology-driven legal matters.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review and support negotiations of commercial agreements including third parties, supplier, franchise and collaboration agreements, as well as SaaS agreements
Advise internal stakeholders across Digital, E-commerce, Marketing, Procurement, Finance and Retail, translating legal risk into practical, business-oriented advice
Support corporate legal matters, including corporate housekeeping, entity management, governance documentation and KYC processes
Contribute to legal operations and legal tech initiatives, including contract management tools, workflow optimisation and process automation
Advise on AI and digital solutions from a legal risk and governance perspective, including vendor selection and contractual safeguards
Help develop and maintain standard contracts, templates and legal playbooks
Identify legal and operational risks early and escalate appropriately
Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Law
1–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in an in-house or commercially oriented role
Experience with or strong interest in commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements
Strong technological understanding, with interest in digital platforms, AI and legal operations
Interest in corporate legal work, including governance, compliance and KYC-related processes
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (Dutch is a must)
