Job Responsibility
Assist with employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client counseling
Build strong client relationships while developing litigation skills
Requirements
Active California Bar license in good standing
1–3 years of Labor & Employment and/or civil litigation experience
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Active license to practice law in California
Experience in employment litigation gained in a law firm, judicial clerkship, or in-house legal environment
Working knowledge of California and/or federal employment law, including pre-litigation matters and courtroom disputes
Ability to draft pleadings, discovery materials, motion papers, and other litigation documents with a high degree of accuracy
Familiarity with matters involving single-plaintiff claims as well as representative or class-based employment actions
Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and written communication skills
Sound judgment, responsiveness to feedback, and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
