Our client is a privately held US-based healthcare technology and services organization providing a healthcare payment platform. The project focuses on building and supporting reliable backend services for payment processing in the healthcare domain. The team works in an Agile environment, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions using modern Java technologies. We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join a delivery team working on this healthcare payment solution. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications, collaborate with experienced engineers, and grow your skills in a real production environment.
Job Responsibility
Develop, test and maintain software applications using Java
Collaborate with team members to identify and solve technical problems
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
Learn new technologies and programming languages as needed
Requirements
At least 2+ years of experience in Java programming
Strong foundation in Java programming (Collections, Stream API, Optional, Generics)
Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles (Polimprhism, Incupsulation, Extension, SOLID)
Familiar with version control systems such as Git
Basic understanding of RESTful web services and API design
Experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, IntelliJ or Eclipse
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Basic SQL skills, such as the ability to write simple queries and understand database design principles
Basic understanding of Testing frameworks and methodologies, such as JUnit or Mockito
Familiarity with Message Brokers, such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
Nice to have
Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-driven development (BDD)
Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
