The Junior Investment Analyst reports to the Head of Investment Management and will be a member of Chase de Vere's Investment Management Team. The Junior Investment Analyst is primarily responsible for the quarterly maintenance and delivery of the Chase de Vere Fund Panels, including a number of other investment panels. The Fund Panels are used by 200 plus Chase de Vere advisers across the company's offices nationwide. The role is based in the company's office in central Bath, where the Head of Investment Management is also based.
Job Responsibility
Construct and maintain both simple and complex spreadsheets
Identify and improve efficiencies with regards to current processes
Maintenance and development of Chase de Vere's Investment Proposition
Maintaining and developing the company's core investment fund panels
Constructing simple and complex spreadsheets that will support the quantitative requirements of the fund panels
Constructing simple and complex spreadsheets that will support the discretionary model portfolio service
Assisting with the provision of data, numerical and graphic, that will be used in regular updates and reporting
Working with external research companies, product providers for collating regular and ad-hoc information requests
Assisting in the administration of the Investment Proposition across multiple investment platforms
Producing and maintaining process documents for role responsibilities
Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidance at all times while consistently delivering to the highest service standards
Demonstrate flexibility to respond to the needs of the business and its clients
Have a high level of written English and the ability to produce well written and grammatically correct internal / external communications and reports
Ability to manage complex workloads and the ability to multi-task, and prioritise
Ability to work unsupervised to manage workload and meet strict deadlines
Requirements
Educated to degree level or equivalent, either academically or professionally
A track record of successfully performing administrative responsibilities – a strong compliance and regulatory focus preferred
An understanding of the financial services sector and regulatory context
Extremely proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel – e.g. complex formulas, VBA etc.
Superior organisational, operational and administrative skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
The ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive, resilient and flexible approach to work
