Job Description:

As part of the internal logistics team, the primary purpose of the role is to ensure that the daily functions and procedures related to internal logistics in the manufacturing plant run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform general warehouse activities: loading and unloading of goods, booking goods receipt, picking, storage and retrieval of goods, transfer of goods between different warehouses and to the different production process steps
  • Ensure traceability of goods in the warehouse (correct labeling, storing, etc)
  • Coordinate with the various departments involved in the management of internal logistics, such as purchasing and production, aligning the warehouse operations with the production needs
  • Push optimisations regarding resources, processes and services to achieve the highest possible profit
  • Record all movements of goods within the warehouse
  • Ensure the integrity and correct storage of goods in the warehouse (according to the requirements of temperature, humidity, weight, hazardousness...)
  • Conduct regular inventory checks
  • Carry out the cutting process of raw materials after receipt and subsequent storage in the warehouse (putaway)
  • Keep the warehouse area clean and organized
  • Operate forklifts to move products within the warehouse

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a logistics specialist or lateral entry possible with IHK further training
  • First experiences in logistics, warehouse management or similar areas
  • Relevant experience using Warehouse Management Systems
  • Forklift license
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Driver licence up to 7,5to
