Job Description:

The Junior/Intermediate Systems Engineer or Specialist is responsible for professionally and efficiently executing work in support of client taskings and projects in the field of Systems Engineering.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides and independently undertakes general and systems engineering advice and support to internal and external clients in various systems lifecycle phases
  • Provides and independently undertakes general and specific requirements management services to internal and external clients in various areas
  • Gains exposure to educational workshops, professional publications and/or professional societies
  • May support the Combat & Systems Engineering team in various technical and project management work

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Engineering or Applied Science
  • A minimum 4 years’ experience in an engineering working environment
  • Practical experience with one or more of these Requirement Engineering areas: Elicitation, Definition, Specification, Analysis, Verification and Validation, Management
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience in a systems engineering role for a complex project (system-of-systems and/or system involving multiple sub-systems)
  • Familiarity in the operation, configuration and administration of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS and Cradle, or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
