Job Description

As a Junior Industrial Automation Engineer, you will join a collaborative engineering team supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations, where you will develop your technical expertise while contributing to the performance and reliability of automated production systems. Your Role: You will support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems across the site. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer eager to learn, grow, and progressively take ownership in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support diagnostics and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and industrial networks
  • Participate in corrective and preventive maintenance activities for automated equipment
  • Support production teams during technical incidents to minimize downtime
  • Contribute to PLC and HMI modifications under guidance of senior engineers
  • Support commissioning of new equipment and execution of functional and acceptance tests
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving OEE
  • Collect operational data and perform basic analyses to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support preparation of validation documentation (IQ/OQ) in compliance with GxP requirements
  • Ensure activities follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with external suppliers and internal engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Contribute to project planning and execution activities
  • Participate in on‑duty call rotation after onboarding and training

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
  • 0–5 years of experience in automation, industrial maintenance, or engineering
  • Basic knowledge or first hands‑on experience with: PLCs (Siemens and/or Rockwell)
  • HMI / SCADA systems
  • Industrial sensors, actuators, and instrumentation
  • Electrical schematics and automation drawings
  • Industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
  • French: C1 (mandatory)
  • English: B1 (mandatory) – B2+ is a strong plus
