Job Description

As a Junior Industrial Automation Engineer, you will join a collaborative engineering team supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations, where you will develop your technical expertise while contributing to the performance and reliability of automated production systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Support diagnostics and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and industrial networks
  • Participate in corrective and preventive maintenance activities for automated equipment
  • Support production teams during technical incidents to minimize downtime
  • Contribute to PLC and HMI modifications under guidance of senior engineers
  • Support commissioning of new equipment and execution of functional and acceptance tests
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving OEE
  • Collect operational data and perform basic analyses to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support preparation of validation documentation (IQ/OQ) in compliance with GxP requirements
  • Ensure activities follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with external suppliers and internal engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Contribute to project planning and execution activities
  • Participate in on‑duty call rotation after onboarding and training

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
  • 0–5 years of experience in automation, industrial maintenance, or engineering
  • Basic knowledge or first hands‑on experience with: PLCs (Siemens and/or Rockwell), HMI / SCADA systems, Industrial sensors, actuators, and instrumentation, Electrical schematics and automation drawings, Industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
  • French: C1 (mandatory)
  • English: B1 (mandatory)

Nice to have

  • Exposure to manufacturing, utilities, pharma or biotech environments
  • English B2+ is a strong plus
