Job Description:

Turner Lovell are recruiting for a Safety Advisor / HSE Advisor to support the commissioning phase of a major renewable energy project in Scotland. This role would suit a junior or early-career Safety Advisor looking to gain valuable site-based experience on a large-scale energy development. Due to internal resource changes, our client is strengthening their site HSE support team. You will be based on site, reporting to the Project HSE Lead, supporting day-to-day safety activities during commissioning works. While civil works are largely complete, there will still be a strong on-site presence and ongoing safety-critical activities. This position offers a strong entry point into large-scale renewable and infrastructure projects, with longer-term opportunities expected across future developments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting day-to-day HSE activities on site
  • Delivering site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Reviewing RAMS and method statements
  • Carrying out site inspections and reporting findings
  • Assisting with the close-out of non-conformances
  • Supporting the wider HSE team as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Safety Advisor / HSE Advisor role
  • Formal health & safety qualification (NEBOSH / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Willingness to work on site and learn from an experienced HSE Lead
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
