Job Description:

Are you a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting? We are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join our client's team and provide essential operational and employee relations support. This role is perfect for a generalist looking to partner directly with managers and frontline leaders to drive success through impactful HR initiatives. In this position, you will act as a key partner to leaders, providing coaching and support across a range of complex employee relations matters. You will be instrumental in ensuring managers are equipped to deliver operational goals through their teams while maintaining compliance and fostering a positive culture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions
  • Educating managers on the recruitment process and ensuring relevant approvals are granted
  • Overseeing the onboarding of all new employees and facilitating induction sessions
  • Providing HR dashboard reporting and insights regarding overtime, turnover, and leave liability
  • Coaching managers to develop employee capability and effectively manage underperformance
  • Leading workplace investigations, complex disciplinary issues, and employee grievances
  • Ensuring compliance with National Employment Standards, awards, and industrial instruments
  • Supporting the execution of the performance management review process
  • Conducting exit interviews for leaders and high-potential employees to provide feedback insights

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of generalist HR experience
  • Experience working in a blue collar industry, such as manufacturing, warehouse or logistics
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Possession of a valid Class C Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment legislation
  • Ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements

Nice to have:

Experience managing positive relationships with trade unions is highly desirable
